The Field Museum of Natural History
Is grief uniquely human? Working with the design and curatorial staff at the Museum, I created the illustration for a 15 feet long curved mural depicting chimpanzees mourning a mate's death. Visitor's can sit "within" the huge illustration, referencing the fact that for chimpanzees, mourning is a communal experience. Art direction: David Quednau and Gloria Chantell.
